What shipped in August 2026?

August 2026 added 5 capabilities to DataEase AI: AI crawler traffic monitoring across 28 crawlers, market share of AI answers with 4 views, the head-to-head question battleground with 4 slots, the post-scan review, and self-fix detection that verifies up to 12 pages per run.

AI crawler traffic monitoring

You can now see which AI crawlers actually fetch your pages. DataEase AI tracks 28 AI crawlers and reports visits by bot over time in four windows: today, 7 days, 30 days and 90 days. Two views matter most: recrawl cadence per page, which shows how fast a change gets picked up, and coverage gaps, the important pages AI never fetches at all. Setup is a small Cloudflare Worker on your existing zone, takes about 5 minutes, and the Cloudflare free plan is enough. The method is written up in the guide to AI crawler analytics.

Market share of AI answers

Share of voice is now rank-weighted. Being named first counts for more than being named tenth, and naming ten brands does not make one answer count ten times, because the credit for any single answer always adds up to one. Four views ship with it: by brand, by AI assistant, over time across the last 6 scans, and by question type. It also reports unclaimed answers, the share of your category nobody won. Read the full explainer on market share of AI answers.

The head-to-head question battleground

Competitor comparison moved down to the level of the individual question. The battleground gives you four slots with your own brand locked into the first, and runs across six question types: Discovery, Comparison, Recommendation, Pricing, Reviews and Use Cases. That split matters because brands rarely lose everywhere at once. Our guide on how to win the comparison question covers what to do with each result.

The post-scan review

Every scan now ends with a review that answers five questions with clickable evidence: why you were cited, why competitors were preferred, what actually changes your citations, what your last changes did, and what to do next. The constraint is the interesting part. The model is forbidden from writing a number. The server materialises every figure, and a single unbacked number invalidates the whole summary, so you can click any claim and land on the evidence behind it.

Self-fix detection

The audit now notices when a page is new or visibly changed and is named by an open recommendation, then asks whether you fixed it. Up to 12 pages are verified per run. It suggests, never auto-applies, so a page you edited for an unrelated reason does not silently close a finding. Work done outside DataEase AI still gets credited to the right recommendation. See how it feeds measurement in the guide to proving AI visibility work pays off.

What shipped in July 2026?

July 2026 added 5 capabilities to DataEase AI: the opportunities table with a fix ledger and outcome tracking, Blog Creator autonomous mode, brand aliases, the 3 subscription plans with per-tier entitlements, and Google-only sign-in that grants 100 free credits with no password stored.

Opportunities, the fix ledger and outcome tracking

Findings live in a filterable table. Mark one as fixed and it moves to a Tracking tab. Re-auditing a single page costs 1 credit instead of re-running the full 40-page crawl and returns in about 6 to 12 seconds, so verifying a fix is routine rather than a budget decision. Outcomes are measured as matched pairs: the N days since the fix against the N days before it, across visits, visits from AI, AI bot crawls, citations, indexing and page score. Nothing is judged before 7 days.

There is deliberately no predicted score lift anywhere. We built two estimators and deleted both, because the numbers were invented. Impact and effort are the only signals shown before you act.

Blog Creator autonomous mode

Blog Creator now offers two modes at the same price: "Interview me", which asks you five questions, and "Write it for me", which runs without you. Autonomous runs are grounded in four things: your own audited pages, which are the only URLs the post may link to; your measured standing; live topic research; and one open opportunity the post is meant to close. It may not invent percentages, study results, survey findings, quotes, named customers, case-study outcomes or dates. It is schedulable, and traffic estimates per content idea are always a range, never a point estimate.

Brand aliases

AI assistants often drop part of a name. "DataEase is the one I would recommend" scored zero mentions for the brand "DataEase AI" until aliases were supported, which is a measurement bug disguised as a bad result. With the alias registered, the same sentence counts as one mention and is flagged as a recommendation. Brand discovery now proposes aliases for you and for every competitor.

Subscription plans and entitlements

Three ways to pay went live. Pay As You Go is $50 per 100 credits with no subscription. Growth is $249 a month with 600 monthly credits, 3 brands and 5 seats. Business is $449 a month with 1,500 monthly credits, unlimited brands and seats, Claude and Grok added for 5 AI assistants in total, and MCP access. Entitlements govern competitors, keywords and pages per audit at each tier. Yearly billing is two months free. Full detail is on the DataEase AI pricing page.

Google-only sign-in and 100 free credits

Registration is Google-only. Email and password registration is disabled server-side, so no password is ever asked for or stored. Every new account gets 100 free credits the moment a brand domain is added, with no credit card and no trial timer. Brand discovery is free and consumes none of them. What this means for a vendor review is on the DataEase AI security page.

How often does DataEase AI ship?

Continuously, and this changelog is grouped by month rather than by version number. The 2 months on this page cover 10 shipped capabilities. There is nothing to install and no release to upgrade to, so every DataEase AI account is on the same build the day a capability goes live.

The pattern behind these entries explains what will and will not appear in future months. We ship measurement before advice, we put evidence next to every number, and we remove features that produce numbers we cannot stand behind. The deleted score-lift estimators are the clearest case: two working features, both removed, because the output was a guess wearing the costume of a metric.

The same principle shows up in the small commitments. Every scan shows its price before it runs, credits are refunded when a run fails, and paid schedules pause and auto-resume when credits run out. To see how these capabilities fit together, start with DataEase AI Brand Intelligence.

Frequently asked questions

The 6 answers below cover what founders ask about this changelog: how often it is updated, why there are no version numbers, why predicted score lift was removed, which of the 5 AI assistants are covered, what capabilities cost in credits, and how to try them.

How often is the DataEase AI changelog updated?
Monthly. The 2 most recent months, August 2026 and July 2026, cover 10 shipped capabilities. Entries are published once the capability is live for every DataEase AI account.
Does DataEase AI use version numbers?
No. DataEase AI is a hosted platform, so there is no version to install and no release number to match. The changelog groups entries by month, and every account is on the same build.
Why is there no predicted score lift in Opportunities?
Because the numbers were invented. Two predicted-lift estimators were built and then deleted. Opportunities show impact and effort only, and real movement is measured after the fix with matched pairs, judged no earlier than 7 days.
Which AI assistants do the new capabilities cover?
ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini on every plan, including the 100 free credits. Claude and Grok are Business-only, for 5 AI assistants in total. Market share of AI answers breaks down by AI assistant.
Do new DataEase AI features cost extra credits?
No feature is sold separately. Runs consume credits, every scan shows its exact price before it runs, a single-page re-audit costs 1 credit, and credits are refunded when a run fails.
How do I try the newest DataEase AI capabilities?
Sign in with Google and add a brand domain. That grants 100 free credits with no credit card and no trial timer. Brand discovery runs free before any credits are spent.
